This pillow has a beautiful cable pattern that will make it stand out in your living room or on your bed.
Materials
4mm crochet hook
Worsted weight yarn
Yarn needle
Stuffing
Optional: fabric, thread, and a sewing needle (or sewing machine) to make a lining for the pillow.

Previous cabling experience is suggested before making this pillow.
Ch 1 at the beginning of every row does not count as a stitch.
I used fabric and sewed a liner for the pillow. After I crocheted the pillow and sewed three out of four sides together, I measured the material and cut my fabric to size. I sewed the fabric and stuffed it before closing the last side of the pillow lining. I then inserted the stuffed lining into the crocheted fabric and sewed the crocheted fabric shut.
Front Panel
1. Ch 75
2. In the second chain from hook, hdc across (74)
3. Ch 1, turn, hdc 4, * fpdc 2, hdc 2, fpdc 2, hdc 4 * across (74)
4. Ch 1, turn, hdc across (74)
5. Ch 1, turn, hdc 4, * skip 4 stitches, fptr 2 in fpdc from row 3, hdc 2 in skipped stitches 3 and 4, fptr 2 in skipped fpdc from row 3 * repeat across (74)
6. Ch 1, turn, hdc across (74)
7-8. Repeat rows 3 and 4
9. Repeat row 5
Repeat rows 7-9 until you reach your desired pillow height. I repeated the pattern two more times (three times total).
To finish off:
Ch 1, turn, hdc across
Ch 1, turn, Ch 1, turn, hdc 4, * skip 4 stitches, fptr 2 in fpdc, hdc 2 in skipped stitches 3 and 4, fptr 2 in skipped fpdc * repeat across (74)

Fasten off and weave in ends.
Back Panel

Fasten off and leave a [really] long end for sewing.
Depending on your gauge, the back panel might be larger than your front panel. This is okay as long as you line up the stitches and rows when you sew the two parts together. The panels will even themselves out in the end.
Sew three sides of the panels together, insert your lining (basic instructions in the pattern notes) or stuffing, and sew the remaining side shut.
